This window features the Sermon on the Mount. Erected by William Connal, Merchant, Glasgow in memory of Michael Connal his Grand-father, Merchant and Banker. Provost of Stirling, who died 15th November 1812. And in memory of Patrick Connal, his Father, Merchant and Banker in Stirling, who died 9th February 1854. At the very top of this window is portrayed a wolf on a crag, part of the Stirling Town Crest, to remind us of a story which tells how Stirling Castle once was saved from invaders by a wolf on the rocks below, which disturbed and alerted the keepers of the castle by its howling. window location
