Royal Arms

royalarms.jpg

The 17th century or early 18th century Royal Arms above the entrance of the St Andrew's Chapel are not in their original position in the Church. There was a King's (or Queen's) Loft, again long since removed, at the west end or the Choir, on the edge of what is now the Crossing. The Royal Arms, this one and its predecessor, would adorn that loft's facing.
